Techies in Singapore will be among the first in the world to get their hands on new devices at the IT Show 2017, where the likes of Dell, Casio, HP and Lenovo will launch their latest laptops and gadgets.

Those looking for a new laptop can purchase the latest in the market, such as HP's Omen 15 and Lenovo's Legion Y720 and Y520, at the consumer electronics show, which runs at Suntec Singapore from today till Sunday.

Gamers might want to check out Dell's latest Inspiron 15 Gaming notebook, along with its updated Alienware hardware. There will be a dedicated gaming area which will feature a virtual-reality gaming showcase, deals by gaming brands such as SteelSeries and HyperX, and a competition for virtual card game Hearthstone.

Shoppers can join a lucky draw with over $250,000 worth of prizes, including the $7,999 Creative Sonic Carrier home sound system.

Used gadgets - from laptops to mobile phones - can be traded for cash vouchers to use at the show.

For the first time, shoppers can cash in their personal mobility devices for $300 off their next purchase at the mobot booth.

Frequent travellers can pick up a ChatSim offline for the first time. This SIM card, which was previously available only online, gives users unlimited messaging all over the world, on apps such as Line, Telegram and WhatsApp.

Admission to the IT Show is free. It is organised by Singapore Press Holdings subsidiary Exhibits Inc.
