This Japanese game sees players control the Hunter, who is trapped in the hauntingly atmospheric, nightmarish Gothic city of Yharnam. The inhabitants have been infected with a blood- borne disease. The Hunter has to track down and destroy the source of the infection in order to return to the real world.
FALLOUT 4
The year is 2287 and Boston is a hollowed-out city, wrecked by a nuclear war. Players slip into the blue-and-yellow jumpsuit of a Vault Dweller, who was saved underground in suspended animation during the war. Critics commended the game for the depth and size of its world, as well as its story, characters and soundtrack.
THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT
In this third game in the Witcher series, protagonist Geralt of Rivia traverses a staggeringly large open world to locate Ciri, the daughter of an emperor. The game has consistently received stellar reviews, with critics praising its extensive open world, and emphasis on exploration and adventure.
PILLARS OF ETERNITY
Pillars of Eternity has a party-based, real-time-with-pause combat system, where players can freeze the action to decide their next move. Its Kickstarter campaign in 2012 raised almost US$4 million, making it the most-funded video game on the crowdfunding platform at that time.
TALES OF ZESTIRIA
This is the 15th main entry in the Tales series. It features the series' unique Linear Motion Battle System, where players can control their characters in real time. In this installation, a young human named Sorey and his friends have to rid the continent of Glenwood of an impurity which possesses living things and inanimate objects alike.
