SINGAPORE - Existing M1 customers on a current telco mobile contract and new customers who take up its 12-month mobile plan can now sign up for up to 12GB of additional mobile data.

In March this year, the telco announcedthis Upsized Data add-on, which gives customers more mobile data, to new or re-contracting customers.

But from today (June 9) onwards, this add-on is also available to existing subscribers. Those who have an M1 subscription can pay an additional $5.90 per month for more monthly data, up to a maximum of 12GB depending on the plan they are on.

For example, those on the $42 per month i/Lite+ plan, which comes bundled with 3GB of mobile data, will get an additional 2GB under the add-on.

To get the maximum 12GB of addtional data, customers have to be on the $228 per month i/Max+ plan . They will also have to pay a $10.70 registration fee for the service.

M1 customers who take up the 12-month mySIM plans can also top up for additional data. Those who are on the cheapest mySim+ 20 plan ( $20 per month) will get an extra 2GB of data, while those on the $125 per month plan get 12GB more.

Speaking on this addition, M1 chief marketing officer P. Subramaniam said: "We constantly look at how we can provide our customers with better value. With this extension, more customers can enjoy Upsized Data to stream videos, music, and share pictures anytime, anywhere, with peace of mind."
