The world loves smart speakers.

Global sales of these voice-activated speakers - which let users access the weather and news, set alarms and control smart home devices with their voice - grew 70 per cent last year from 2018 to hit a record high of 146.9 million units, according to a report this month from market research firm Strategy Analytics.
