Harman expands APAC reach with regional hub and experience centre in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Audio-visual company Harman is strengthening its presence in Singapore with the setting up of its regional headquarters and a new experience centre here.

The company, which owns popular audio brands such as harman/kardon and JBL, recently consolidated its three regional business units into Singapore.

The Singapore office will be the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters and regional hub, and will be leading teams across Harman's offices in Australia, Korea and Japan.

The company also opened its first Experience Centre in Asia here at their Pasir Panjang office on Tuesday (Oct 25). Their professional suite of products and solutions, such as studio monitors, speakers and lights, are on display for customers to test and experience there.

"With the opening of our new Customer Experience Centre in Singapore, we are demonstrating our commitment to expanding growth and customer engagement in the Asia Pacific region," said Ramesh Jayaraman, vice president and general manager of Harman Asia Pacific.

"The new location will help us develop closer relationships with our enterprise and entertainment customers, as they experience first-hand how we can meet their needs through innovative, integrated and holistic solutions," he said.

Harman has had a hand in providing sound and lighting equipment for many of Singapore's iconic buildings, such as Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Sports Hub and Suntec City Convention Centre.
