No public funds used in settling suit, fines

WE THANK Dr Seto Hann Hoi for his feedback ("Town councils need to be more accountable to residents"; last Thursday).

Dr Seto expressed concerns about funds being used for the walkway suit and fines in the mosquito breeding case.

We assure him that no public funds were used in both cases.

The town council works closely with our contractors to ensure that we comply with the rules and guidelines set by the various regulatory agencies.

For example, in the case of the washing of water tanks, we strictly adhere to the PUB regulations to have our water tanks washed, flushed and sterilised at least once a year.

We encourage residents to give us their feedback via our iShare App, Facebook, SMS/MMS, the Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council website, or e-mail feedback@snstc.org.sg. They may also call us on 6368-3100.
