French, Japanese and Chinese cuisine under one roof at the new ME@OUE restaurant
Two one-Michelin-star chefs - Frenchman Laurent Peugeot and Kyoto-born Masayasu Yonemura - and Malaysian celebrity chef Justin Hor have come together under one roof at the new ME@OUE restaurant on the 19th storey of the OUE Bayfront at Collyer Quay.
Set to open on Feb 16, the restaurant - which is managed by food court operator Food Junction - is a collaboration between property firm Overseas Union Enterprise and MediaCorp.
The 200-seater restaurant - with both indoor and alfresco dining - features an open-concept kitchen for diners to watch the chefs at work, as well as a sushi bar, wine cellar and a private dining room. Prices for lunch there will cost about $50, while dinner can set you back about $100 to $120.
Chef Martin Woo, 52, group executive chef of Food Junction, was instrumental in bringing the three chefs together, and is quick to point out that the food is not fusion.
