Deprived of FA Cup fix due to channel swops

I FULLY agree with Mr Prakash Nair ("Consumers at mercy of pay-TV operators"; Monday).

I am an ardent English Premier League fan, and I have been subscribing to pay-TV sports channels for years.

I subscribe to mioTV's Goal TV 1 and 2 to catch broadcasts of the English FA Cup and League Cup competitions.

Recently, mioTV moved the FA Cup broadcasts to the newly launched sports channels 111, 112 and 113.

I requested to switch my subscription from Goal TV 1 and 2 to the new channels, but my request was denied.

I was told to upgrade my plan to a more comprehensive one, which of course costs more.

I am disappointed by SingTel's move, which makes it so expensive to watch English football broadcasts.
