Speed camera locations available on website: Police
WE APPRECIATE the writers' feedback pertaining to speed cameras ("Wrong to hide speed cameras from motorists" by Mr Emmanuel Daniel; Dec 20, and "Speed cameras: It's about driving responsibly" by Mr Thio Thiam Hock and "Raise limit along straight, pedestrian-free stretches" by Mr Tan Khee Shian; both published last Saturday, and "Cameras should warn against speeding, not trap motorists" by Mr Tony Lee and "Worry about speeding, not hidden cameras" by Mr Francis Cheng; both published in Forum Online, last Saturday).
Indeed, for the safety of all road users, the Traffic Police employ various enforcement strategies to ensure that all motorists keep to the prescribed speed limits on our roads.
These include the use of static speed cameras and mobile speed laser cameras during anti-speed operations.
Locations where such anti-speed operations are conducted are made known publicly on the Singapore Police Force's website.
Nicoll Highway is one of the locations stated on the list.
The police urge all road users to adhere to traffic rules and regulations at all times, and not only when there are speed cameras or police officers in sight.
For your loved ones, make it home safely.
