Medisave Required Amount raised, 4% CPF rate continues

Central Provident Fund (CPF) members will continue to receive 4 per cent interest on the savings in their Special and Medisave Accounts for the first three months of next year.

They will also enjoy a 4 per cent interest rate on their Retirement Account for all of 2013, the CPF Board announced on Friday.

This is in line with the Government's announcement in September that the 4 per cent floor rate will be maintained until the end of 2013.

Meanwhile, the Medisave Required Amount will be raised from Jan 1 next year to $38,500. It is now $32,000.
