Why John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman took the plunge with Wreck-It Ralph

In Disney Animation's new release Wreck-It Ralph, about the secret lives of video-game characters in a game arcade, the two main characters, Ralph and Vanellope, are voiced by actor John C. Reilly and comedian Sarah Silverman.

Both admit that they never thought they would ever do an animated film.

"I've been offered a lot of animation in the past, and it just seemed like a really boring day at work,'' says Reilly, a respected character actor whose credits include Chicago (which won him Golden Globe and Oscar supporting-actor nominations in 2002) and We Need To Talk About Kevin (2011).

"You go in and a lot of times, they don't even give you the whole script, you get one page. Then you go home and all the creative part is done without you, and you don't get to meet the other actors," says the actor.
