Palmer shows that MPs who do wrong must face the music
MR MICHAEL Palmer has apologised unreservedly to his constituency, his family and to the public ("Parliament Speaker Palmer quits"; yesterday).
The former Speaker of Parliament and MP had the courage to face the public and admit his wrongs.
He is setting a good example for all MPs to follow when a wrong has been committed - the MP has to face the consequences and not hide or run away from his mistake, as former Workers' Party MP Yaw Shin Leong had done.
