Dismounting at crossings rule too strict

AS A long-time cyclist, I feel that the current rule requiring cyclists to dismount and push their bikes across pedestrian crossings is too stringent.

The authorities should consider allowing cyclists to walk their bikes across (no pedalling allowed) without dismounting.

With the inconvenience of dismounting removed, more cyclists will be willing to follow the rule and the roads will become safer for all users.
