More tools to promote bilingualism among preschoolers
There will soon be more teaching and learning resources to improve bilingual learning among young children.
The Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism will be funding 10 proposals that will be creating teaching and learning resources that support the learning of languages.
Ms Sim Ann, vice-chair of the Board for the fund, announced at a press conference on Friday that they will commit about $1.6 million towards these projects over the next two years.
The 10 recipients selected include organisations such as the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and the National Book Development Council of Singapore, as well as individuals such as songwriter Mr Richard Wan Kum Wah.
