Customs video review

WE THANK Mr Ang Chee Chien for his feedback ("Customs video's overlong spiel on taxable items"; last Thursday).

The video is part of our outreach efforts to explain to arriving travellers the duty-free concessions and Goods and Services Tax relief they may enjoy.

They are informed of the customs clearance procedures so that they can experience smooth and hassle-free passage through our land, air or sea checkpoints into Singapore.

We have received feedback that travellers find such information useful. Nonetheless, we will review the length of the customs video for travellers.
