Resourceful help at the library


LAST Saturday, I visited the Bukit Merah Public Library to borrow a book but could not locate it although the website indicated that it was available.

A library assistant spent more than 20 minutes trying to locate the book, but to no avail. When I informed another staff member, she made another search to confirm if the book was available, but it wasn't. She then assured me that she could get the book that I wanted from another library and have it redirected to the Bukit Merah branch for my collection.

She took down my name and contact number and said she would contact me once she received the book. Three days later, she fulfilled her promise. I offer her the thanks of a senior citizen for her kindness and consideration.
