Drunk Belgian fell to his death while trying to scale condo wall

A Belgian national was drunk when he fell to his death while trying to scale down a condominium wall a day after he had arrived in Singapore for a new assignment, a coroner's court heard.

Mechanical engineer Tim Vanden Kieboom, 26, had checked into Miramar Hotel at about 8pm on Feb 15 last year. He later met his colleagues for drinks at the bar counter until about 10.30pm.

He found his way to Naughty Girl Pub in Orchard Towers, Orchard Road. He was involved in a scuffle with a patron at about 2am, and appeared to be very drunk by then.

Police came and found him to be incoherent. The patron left first and Mr Kieboom left the pub at about 4am to have more drinks and a good time.
