After 20 years, resale avenue for PRs should be reviewed
I COULDN'T agree more with managing editor Han Fook Kwang's commentary ("Avoid feast and famine in housing"; Nov 4).
Permanent residents (PRs) should be excluded from the HDB resale market unless they indicate that they intend to take up citizenship.
After more than 20 years, this policy of allowing PRs to buy resale HDB flats should be reviewed.
With the current trend of money flowing into Asia, the Government should stop PRs from influencing the prices of HDB flats, which are for citizens.
