Ball is in Greek camp on debt: German finance minister
BERLIN (AFP) - It is up to the Greek government whether or not Athens gets the next instalment of international aid, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said in comments published on Sunday.
He was asked about when Athens would receive the next tranche of 31.5 billion euros (S$50.2 billion) in an interview published in the Sunday edition of Die Welt newspaper.
"This question, you should pit to my Greek colleagues and not to the German finance minister," he said.
"Nobody in the eurozone opposes the idea of accepting the payment of the next tranche of aid," he added.
