Budget carriers hit by 'system outage'


Travellers on Jetstar, AirAsia as well as Tiger Airways flights on Saturday morning were stranded at Changi Airport Terminal 1 and 2, due to an outage that hit their check-in system from about 6.20am.

Passengers had to be checked-in manually at the counters, causing a backlog of passengers at the check-in queues.

The computerised system, which is provided by Navitaire, was back in operation after more than two hours at 8.50am.

During this period, 15 flights were affected including those headed to Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Jakarta, Kuala Kumpur, Hong Kong, and Yangon.
