Youth gets reformative training for cheating and criminal intimidation

A 20-year-old was sentenced to a year's probation on Thursday for cheating and criminal intimidation.

Derrick Woo Mao Jie had pleaded guilty last month to both offences committed last year.

The court heard that Woo, then 19, had in July last year used someone else's credit card at a nightclub to pay $2,752 for brandy and $1,000 for bouquets for the singers.

At the time, he was a waiter at the Avatar pub in the Marina Mandarin hotel.
