New facility offers peek into court life here

Veterans of the Singapore law scene on Monday toured a new virtual court that will give the younger generation a taste of how the legal profession works.

Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong led the team of senior figures as they looked around the facility - which will allow students to play various roles including judge, lawyer and defendant.

Launched on Monday, The Learning Court is targeted at students aged 13 to 18, and aims to help them understand how the judiciary operates.

It also features information kiosks and exhibition panels to shed light on legal proceedings.
