Going bananas over flying at Sentosa

You have heard of a banana boat. Now, there is a banana "plane" too. On Sunday, this banana-shaped contraption was among the flying machines that took off from a 6m-high flight deck in Sentosa to land in the sea.

The event called Red Bull Flugtag - flugtag is German for "flying day" - drew 38 teams.

They were judged on showmanship, design and the distance their invention travelled.

The event attracted a crowd of 35,000 people.
