Bomba Paella Bar serves traditional Spanish food with flair


Unlike some of the other new tapas bars here, Bomba Paella Bar offers mainly traditional Spanish dishes - mostly cooked a la minute and served hot.

The paella is certainly worth ordering, with the rice cooked in a tasty stock. And most of the seafood dishes are excellent, in particular grilled razor clams in ajillo dressing. But steer clear of the fritura, a dish of deep-fried prawns, squid and fish where the seafood is overcooked and dry.

For meat lovers, check out the pinchos murinos, a dish of grilled Iberian pork marinated with olive oil, smoked paprika, crushed garlic oregano and lemon juice. The meat is delicious on its own but the marinade gives it even more complex flavours.

Also, don't miss the Iberico ham croquettas, which are crisp outside and creamy inside.
