$920,000 worth of Ice hidden in luggage seized

About $920,000 worth of Ice with a street value of more than $920,000 was seized on Sunday night from a South African man at Changi Airport.

In a joint operation held on Sunday by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority at about 9.45pm, CNB officers stopped the 38-year-old man at the airport's arrival hall for a check.

Officers found his behaviour suspicious as he had seemed hesitant and acted nervously, the bureau said in a statement.

Further checks on his luggage uncovered two trash bags in which crystalline substances were detected.
