Terence Cao: I will take full responsibility if I am the father

Channel 8 actor Terence Cao says he will take full responsibility if a Shanghai woman's claim that he fathered her child is true.

In a telephone interview with Life!, Cao, 45, says: "I'll take full responsibility and I'd be glad to if it's proven that the child is directly related to me."

Last Friday, news broke that a Ms Shi, 26, from Shanghai, had brought her 19-month-old daughter to Singapore to look for a MediaCorp actor who is allegedly the father of her child.

Cao says his lawyer has advised him and Ms Shi of his legal responsibility as a father should a DNA test prove the child is his.
