Fire breaks out at Sengkang coffeeshop, 20 evacuated


A fire broke out at a coffeeshop in Sengkang on Monday morning. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the fire at 7.45am. When the officers arrived at the scene, three stalls were still on fire at the coffeeshop at Blk 303, Anchorvale Link.

The SCDF dispatched two fire engines, one Red Rhino, two fire bikes, an ambulance and a support vehicle. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes.

About 20 people had self-evacuated prior to SCDF's arrival. There were no reported injuries and the cause of fire is under investigation.
