Man held for allegedly vandalising police cameras in Telok Blangah


Police have arrested a man suspected of damaging police cameras installed at Block 4 Telok Blangah Crescent.

The 47-year-old suspect was nabbed at Telok Blangah Estate on Wednesday afternoon by officers from the Crime Strike Force after they spotted him while they were conducting enquiries in the estate.

Police had initially discovered that two cameras installed at the block were not working on Oct 4. Investigations had revealed that the cameras were likely to have been damaged by someone.

The suspect faces a fine of up to $2,000 and jail of up to three years if found guilty. Repeat offenders may also be caned.
