HDB to boost productivity in construction amid labour crunch

Amid worries of a labour crunch, the Housing Board is doing its bid to spur productivity.

Senior Minister of State for National Development Lee Yi Shyan announced the new HDB construction productivity framework on Tuesday.

Under this plan, HDB is targeting to raise construction productivity by up to 25 per cent by 2020.

This means reducing the length of time workers spend on construction through innovative building methods and speeding up work processes.
