Manchester United youngster hit with drink driving charge
LONDON (AFP) - Manchester United's highly-rated young midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has been charged with drink driving, Greater Manchester police confirmed on Sunday.
Tunnicliffe, 19, was charged with driving with excess alcohol and is due to appear in court on October 25.
The charge relates to an incident which happened shortly before 1315GMT on Saturday (9.15pm Singapore time) when a Range Rover collided with a van.
The van subsequently collided with the wall of a house and police said the front seat passenger of the Range Rover suffered a minor whiplash injury in the collision and both vehicles were badly damaged.
