Strong cold front to sweep China over the next 3 days

BEIJING - Expect chilly weather in China over the next three days. Weather forecasters say a strong cold front descending from the north-west Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region would see temperatures drop in most parts of the country, Xinhua news agency reported on Sunday.

Quoting the National Meteorological Center (NMC), it said temperatures in most regions would fall by four to eight degrees Celsius. Strongs winds were also expected.

Some northern regions would experience temperature drops from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, it added.

Most parts of the country would see light to heavy rain in the next few days, and light to moderate snow may fall in parts of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces, the NMC said.
