Food fit for a president at The Fullerton Hotel
For the first time, members of the public will be able to taste the delicious home-cooked Peranakan fare enjoyed by family and friends of Singapore's former president, the late Wee Kim Wee.
Over five nights next week, from Tuesday (Oct 16) to Saturday (Oct 20), diners can tuck into six of Mrs Wee Kim Wee's tried-and-tested recipes at Town Restaurant at The Fullerton Hotel. The dinner is priced at $68 a person.
Her daughter, a lawyer, Ms Wee Eng Hwa, 70, who learnt to cook Peranakan fare from from her mother, spent last week teaching chefs at the restaurant each of the six recipes, to her mother's exacting standards.
The recipes can be found in Cooking For The President, a cookbook which Ms Wee compiled two years ago.
