NAC chief Benson Puah bounces back after chemotherapy
After undergoing four months of chemotherapy, National Arts Council and Esplanade chief Benson Puah is in remission from lymphoma, and has indicated that he may give up one of his two hats.
The 55-year-old said that there will be some follow-up treatments and tests in the next nine months, but "for all intents and purposes, I'm fully back".
In an exclusive interview with Life!, he said that his contract as the chief executive of the arts council ends next July, by which time he would have served for four years.
He said he hopes not to renew the contract but added that he does not want "to pre-empt whatever the ministry decides".
