3 nominations for Singapore at International Emmys

New York - Singapore's The Kitchen Musical, a Glee-like musical-dance-drama revolving around the story of a young girl fresh out of a Parisian culinary school who goes to work in her father's famous restaurant, has received two nominations at the International Emmy Awards.

One of them is for Best Drama Series, the Associated Press reported. The Kitchen Musical will compete for Best Drama with France's Braquo, Hong Kong's ICAC Investigators 2011, Australia's The Slap and Argentina's The Social Leader.

The other is in the Best Actor category for Filipino actor Arthur Acuna, who plays the restaurant's general manager.

Singapore received a third nomination for The Challenger Muaythai, a martial arts reality show, in the Non-Scripted Entertainment category.
