Don't talk about my beauty, says violin sensation
Scottish classical violinist Nicola Benedetti is a clear beauty - but she does not like to hear about it.
The 25-year-old, who has luscious locks and sultry lips, wants only to be associated with pure hard work when it comes to her violin achievements.
"What I do has nothing to do with my physical looks," Benedetti tells Life! over the telephone from her home in West Kilbride, Scotland, sounding slightly exasperated. "People around me know not to talk about that kind of thing too much. It's just not something that I am interested in. Any conversations about my looks will be quickly turned around and focused on music."
Benedetti, who has been playing the violin since she was four, is considered one of Britain's brightest young stars in classical music. Earlier this week, she received her biggest honour yet - the top individual prize of Best Female Artist at the 2012 Classical Brit Awards.
