Five buildings given architectural heritage award

 
 

Five conservation buildings were given the annual Architectural Heritage Awards by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) this morning.

The winners are The Sultan, a boutique hotel at 101 Jalan Sultan, National University of Singapore's Bukit Timah Campus at 469 Bukit Timah Road, the International Arbitration Centre at 32 Maxwell Road, furniture gallery Space Asia Hub at 77 Bencoolen Street and a residential shophouse at 51 Joo Chiat Terrace.

The awards were given out this morning by Senior Minister of State for National Development and Acting Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin.

At the prize presentation ceremony at the NUS Bukit Timah Campus, he also announced that the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital at Serangoon Road and The Subordinate Courts at Havelock Road have been slated for conservation.
