$3 million fund for North West CDC seniors

The Northwest Community Development Council (CDC) has set aside $3 million to benefit 70,000 seniors in the district.

The "North West Silver Care Fund" will be used over three years to better meet the needs of seniors in the community.

It will be used to promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen assistance for vulnerable seniors, among other things.

The fund was announced at the Northwest District Meeting 2012 Saturday afternoon at Republic Polytechnic.
