iPad check-ins at 'new' Pan Pacific Singapore
Hotel's facelift to cater to changing needs of guests
The Pan Pacific Singapore unveiled its new look on Thursday after an $80 million revamp that kept the Marina Bay hotel closed for five months.
It now boasts a new lobby, 790 redesigned rooms, new dining concepts and a Pacific Club on Level 38 with panoramic views and round-the-clock services such as refreshments and cocktails.
General manager Scott Swank said in a statement on Thursday that the revamp - the most extensive in the hotel's 25-year history - followed research on the changing needs of its guests. The facelift will enhance the hotel's appeal as the choice of business and leisure tourists, he added.
Its new lobby with upgraded technology will allow employees to check guests in via iPads rather than at a traditional reception counter.
