Sands to build Parisian-themed Macau casino-resort

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Las Vegas Sands is building a replica of the Eiffel Tower for a new US$3 billion (S$3.67 billion) hotel-casino in Macau.

The company's chairman Sheldon Adelson says resort, called The Parisian, will feature a scaled-down version of the tower and 3,000 hotel rooms.

A replica of the Eiffel Tower can be found on the Las Vegas Strip at the Paris Las Vegas resort, owned by Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Adelson says The Parisian will be built on the Cotai Strip, modelled after the famous Las Vegas Strip and home to new casino resorts in Macau.
