Obama launching China trade case: AP sources
WASHINGTON (AP) - Senior administration officials say United States President Barack Obama will launch a new trade enforcement case against China on Monday, accusing the Asian power of putting American manufacturing at a disadvantage by subsidising Chinese exports of automobiles and automobile parts.
The trade action comes as Mr Obama and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney trade barbs on China, accusing each other of backing policies that would move American jobs overseas.
The president will announce the new case on Monday during a campaign trip to Ohio.
The swing state has a large manufacturing base where many blame China for depressing its industry.
