Companies will need permit for work at heights over 2m
Companies asking employees to work more than 2m above the ground will need a permit under a proposed new law.
They will also need to have fall protection plans in place to pinpoint hazards and safeguard employees working at height.
Details of the draft regulations - which are due to kick in next April - were announced on Friday by the Workplace Safety and Health Council.
The permit system will ensure the area is safe and employees are competent before work starts.
