2nd man in Central Square carpark fracas jailed

A second man involved in the Central Square carpark incident last December was sentenced to seven months' jail on Friday.

Lee Boon Leong's sentence was backdated to his remand on Dec 5 last year, which means that he has completed his sentence and can be freed.

The 23-year-old former salesman was originally accused of murdering full-time national serviceman Chen Zixuan, 21, at the Havelock Road carpark on Dec 3 while being part of an unlawful assembly.

On Friday, he admitted to hurting Mr Chen's cousin, Mr Mathew Li, 24, by punching and kicking him. He committed the offence with Desmond Neo Han Wen, 24, Poh Chong Heng, 27, and Marcus Lee Han Wei, 23.
