Jam Hsiao promises new material at his concert in November
Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao promises to sing new songs at his November concert, his second solo gig here this year. The charismatic star January.
Speaking to Life! at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Hsiao, 25, says: "Basically it's the same show, but I'll make a few changes, and because I'll be releasing my latest album in October, I'll sing a few songs from there." He was coy about further details on the album, saying only that it has a "rock 'n' roll feel", incorporating some disco tunes.
This latest gig, titled Jam Hsiao World Tour 2012 - Encore, is at the same venue as the earlier one.Hsiao will head to London after Singapore, to perform at the famous - and huge - Wembley Arena, a venue where popstars such as Kylie Minogue and Pink have strut their stuff. It is the first time he has performed in London.
But the modest rock star is under no illusion about the extent of his fame. In his distinctively measured tones, he tells Life!: "I'm very happy that I can go to London. I'll probably be singing for the Chinese fans there, the Europeans would not know me, but I'll be interested in finding out if the Chinese fans will take their European friends along."
