Formula One treats for Straits Times readers

As Singapore Formula One fans gear up for next week's SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, readers of The Straits Times can look forward to catching some of the excitement first-hand.

As the likes of Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton take to the Marina Bay circuit for their practice round next Friday, five lucky readers will get to catch the action. Oil giant Shell will host them and a guest each at the Shell Sky Suite.

Readers must answer a simple question and mail their entry to The Straits Times Sports Desk. The first five correct entries drawn will win a pair of passes.

Then, on Sunday, UBS, as part of its Cycle the Circuit programme and in partnership with Singapore GP, will open up the track to 12 readers, who will be led by Australia's triple Tour de France green jersey winner Robbie McEwen for two laps around the 5km track. The 12 will be picked from essays detailing why they should be given a slot alongside McEwen.
