Photo gallery: Royal couple arrives in Singapore for 3-day tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived at the Singapore Botanic Gardens - the first stop of their three-day visit here.

They were dropped off at the burkhill hall entrance.

The Duchess is dressed in a pale Jenny Peckham pink coat dress with orchid prints on the front.

The royal couple were ushered to the national orchid garden where an orchid will be named after them.

National Parks Board CEO Poon Hong Yuen will present them with the Vanda William Catherine - a free-flowering orchid hybrid that is white and purple in colour.

They will also see the Dendrobium Memoria Princess Diana, an orchid named after the late princess Diana, and the dendrobium Queen Elizabeth II.
