Jailed 8 months for hurting man with sharp object

A man who injured another with a sharp metal object was sentenced to eight months' jail on Tuesday.

Danny Tan Xiao Long, 23, had admitted to causing hurt to Mr Aloysius Neo Wei Min, 23, at the lift lobby of Block 243 Serangoon Avenue 2 on Sept 21 last year.

The court heard that Tan and his accomplices, Derrick Woo Mao Jie, 20, and Kelvin Tan Kee Heng, 19, met at the carpark of Block 243 at about 3.45am that day.

Woo then sought the help of Kelvin and Danny to get money back from the victim, claiming that the victim owed him $1,200.
