LJUBLJANA (AFP) - Two more people injured in an August hot-air balloon crash in Slovenia have died, raising the death toll from the accident to six, hospital authorities said on Monday.
Both the victims had been in critical condition since a balloon carrying 32 people on board crashed on Aug 23 near Ljubljana as it attempted an emergency landing.
A 59-year-old Slovenian who had suffered burn injuries over 60 percent of his body died on Saturday, Eric Vrabic, a doctor at Maribor Clinical Hospital, told journalists.
Another woman who had also been severely injured in the accident died at Ljubljana's Clinical Centre last Thursday, the hospital said. The accident also killed a couple with their 11-year-old child and another woman, all of them Slovenian citizens, authorities had said last month.
