New Zealander who fled Spore turns himself in
A New Zealander who jumped bail and fled Singapore last year after he was charged with assault has surrendered himself to the police here.
Robert Stephen Dahlberg, 35, was arrested when he returned to Singapore on Thursday, the police said in a brief statement.
Dahlberg and his expatriate friends - Australian Nathan Robert Miller, 36, and Briton Robert James Springall, 25 - were charged with assault in July last year following a brawl at Suntec City in 2010.
The trio were understood to be drunk when they abused two taxi drivers and two taxi passengers. They also hijacked and crashed a taxi.
