PSI readings should include hourly PM2.5 levels

READINGS that include particulate matter less than 2.5 micrometers per metre cube (PM2.5) are crucial as such particulate matter is much smaller than PM10 particulate matter, the level of which is included in the PSI.

The smaller particulate matter enters deeper into the lungs and even into the bloodstream, with significant short and long-term detrimental health effects.

The National Environment Agency should update PSI to include PM2.5 levels now, or at the very least, to report PM2.5 levels hourly.
