SINGAPORE - Mark Leong bagged his first Asian waterskiing slalom title at the Asian Waterski and Wakeboard Championships in Korea from Aug 23 to 27.

The 18-year-old Singaporean's score of 4.5 buoys on the 12-metre rope length bagged him the gold, ahead of Korea's Jeong Ji Min and Cho Beom Geun.

Mark, who was third at last year's Championships, finished with 1,109.59 points while Cho and Jeong finished with 1,000 and 945.21 respectively.

The Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) student also won gold at the same event at the SEA Games last June.
